SB&H Mental Health Awareness Month Picnic at Water Ranch Park

Suicide Resources

In part 5 in a Roundup series on suicide, the majority of people who spoke to the publication said they felt isolated after losing someone to suicide - with nowhere to turn to talk. Many said they feared revealing that they too feel suicidal at times, struggling to cope with a series of unanswered questions and emotions. Go Beyond Autism Awareness This Month

When Rebekah McConnell's daughter Sarah turned nine, she was diagnosed with pervasive developmental and attention deficit disorder, followed by Asperger’s and anxiety. After a bit of research, they discovered Southwest Autism Center of Excellence. April is Autism Awareness Month, and Rebekah's hope is that rather than just making people aware of the fact that autism exists, that everyone would take the extra step and promote acceptance and inclusion in schools and communities.
