The crackdown on the medical marijuana business reached a new level this week. The city council in L.A. voted to shut down 762 marijuana shops. The vote was 14 to 0 to shut down the dispensaries. Jose Huizar said the ban would be enforced, especially against problem dispensaries that have drawn complaints from neighbors. “Relief is on its way,” he said.
