ASU's Legacy Award Posthumously Recognizes Dr. Bob Bohanske

For more than 20 years, Arizona State University has recognized top contributors to Arizona's behavioral health community. At the 23rd Annual Summer Institute Behavioral Health Awards Gala held last month in Flagstaff, Arizona, the School of Social Work posthumously honored Dr. Bob Bohanske with its Legacy Award, in recognition of his lifelong career as a behavioral health leader.

Community of Educators Gathers to Battle Stress, Trauma in the Classroom

Nearly 300 educators gathered to support on another and share strategies for positive improvement at the sixth annual Trauma Sensitive Schools Symposium. State and district leaders, administrators, school mental health professionals and teachers of all grades engaged with one another through networking sessions, community building and mindfulness activities. Clinic Provides Free Dental, Mental Health Care

It's no secret the pandemic caused a lot of stress for many and children were not immune. Hygienists with the East Valley Community Dental Clinics noticed the problem last year and so they partnered with Southwest Behavioral & Health Services to address it. The Chandler Care Center provides free preventive dental care and mental health screenings to children in the Chandler Unified School District.
